Project summary

InnovateTogether unites previous Social Innovation (SI) projects under Interreg BSR, several ESF+ funded National Competence Centres for Social Innovation (NCCSIs), and other EU programmes. It compiles results of 13 projects, including ecosystem-building approaches, impact measurement and green procurement. The platform synthesises results, makes them accessible for public authorities in the Baltic Sea Region, and helps understand and apply them. Existing results help cities and regions address complex societal challenges but this knowledge often becomes scattered once funding ends. The platform preserves, synthesises and turns these results into practical support, enabling public actors to use SI systematically to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals across units and governance levels. Partners collect and harmonise existing knowledge and feed it through a new AI-supported “Social Innovation Navigator,” offering context-sensitive recommendations on SI methods.Further, they build a Transnational Social Innovation Learning Partnership, where “SI champions” from local and regional administrations learn together and scale suitable solutions within their institutions. Through multi-level strategy labs, a policy brief, and cooperation with EUSBSR Policy Areas and other EU macroregional strategies, the project strengthens the policy environment needed to anchor SI more firmly in public institutions. NCCSIs transfer methods ensuring continued use of results beyond the project.
