Programme Conference 2022: highlights from the journey!
300 enthusiasts of Interreg cooperation met on 19-20 October 2022 in Hamburg for the Programme Conference 2022. In an exquisite venue setting, the participants joined an inspiring journey from project achievements to new funding opportunities.Â
31 core projects selected to drive a green and resilient region!
On 22-23 September, members of the Monitoring Committee jointly selected the best project ideas for funding. 31 applications proved to have the highest potential to drive transition towards a green and resilient Baltic Sea region. Congratulations
10 years of Interreg cooperation to free the Baltic Sea from dumped munitions
The Baltic Sea is a dumpsite for thousands of tons of chemical warfare and conventional munitions. Lumps of toxic mustard gas occasionally emerge in fishing nets and highly flammable phosphorus appears on beaches, causing danger to the people and the environment. For 10 years, partners in CHEMSEA and then DAIMON and DAIMON 2 projects, have been working together to make Baltic waters toxic-free.
Bridging the gap on sustainable water management in the region
A hub for solutions and a platform for exchange on efficient water management. Read about BSR Water: a successful Interreg project platform that managed to bring water management in the Baltic Sea region to a higher level. All of this was possible thanks to cooperation across borders among 9 countries in our region.

Thanks to Interreg Baltic Sea Region, Flensburg used technology to help adolescents to do more physical activity and adopt a healthier lifestyle.
