BSR Cultural Pearls in the RegioStars finals!
The RegioStars Awards, organised annually by the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Regional and Urban Policy, celebrate outstanding EU-funded projects driving regional development across Europe. This year, 274 applications competed across five categories, with 25 projects making it to the finals. Among them is our Interreg Baltic Sea Region project BSR Cultural Pearls, selected as a finalist in the category “A Europe closer to citizens” – congratulations!

BSR Cultural Pearls invites smaller cities across the Baltic Sea region to compete by developing action plans that use culture to strengthen local resilience and cohesion. Supported by mentors and a transnational network, participating cities develop and test practical solutions to local vulnerabilities, building trust, encouraging civic participation and improving liveability while setting an example for others to follow.
