How Interreg kicked off green transport corridors
The regions worked together to bring the regional perspective to the development of the EU transport corridors. Through transnational cooperation, they created long-lasting connections to roll out green transport solutions. We take a look back at 25 years of Interreg Baltic Sea Region cooperation in the field of green transport.
Becoming energy-efficient with Interreg
Interreg transnational cooperation has incubated the transition to the energy-efficient and green Baltic Sea region. Cities and regions have worked together to address energy efficiency in a long-term perspective. They have developed common approaches and tested new solutions to become energy efficient. We reflect on 25 years of Interreg Baltic Sea Region cooperation for better energy efficiency.

Taking blue biomass into circular bio-economy
Across the Baltic Sea region there is a pressing need to adopt more circular approaches to respond to local and global environmental challenges caused by unsustainable practices in farming and fisheries, in combination with climate change. Cathy Brown Stummann from Skive Kommune tells us what they expect to accomplish thanks to EU funding and the Interreg Baltic Sea Region support.

Added value of Interreg
Transnational cooperation in action!
From 24 to 27 June, the European Parliament will host the exhibition “Through the Youth Lens: Stories of Transnational Cooperation” – a powerful showcase of how young people are shaping a more connected, inclusive and forward-looking Europe.
The exhibition is led by Interreg Volunteer Youth (IVYs) – young Europeans who are bringing real stories from the ground into the spotlight. Drawing on their personal experiences in Interreg projects, the IVYs reveal how transnational cooperation is delivering meaningful results across Europe’s 13 cooperation areas – from coastal resilience and green innovation to youth empowerment and digital inclusion.
Transnational cooperation at its best!
The magic of Interreg
Have you ever thought about how unique Interreg transnational cooperation is? Interreg is more than just EU funding. It is about bringing people together: across borders, sectors and governance levels. Is is about uniting people of various cultures, experiences and expertise – in a shared cause, working hand in hand for solutions that the Baltic Sea region truly needs.
This kind of magic we’ve uncovered during the Programme Conference in Tampere – read the article & watch the video to get the flavour of Interreg.
