The fourth Smart Cities in Smart Regions Conference took place on October 9-10, 2024 at the campus of LAB University of Applied Sciences in the beautiful city of Lahti, Finland, under the European Week of Regions and Cities which had as 2025 theme: GREEN TRANSITION – MOBILISE YOUR COMMUNITIES!.

The themes of this year's conference were:

  • Solutions for Systemic Change
  • Smart Health and Wellbeing Innovations
  • Design for Sustainable Business and Responsible Consumption

The scientific and practical conference was attended by project partners from the Paijat-Hame Regional Council the and project leader Aija van der Steina. The project leader shared the experience gained in the process of developing solutions for the transition from single-use to reusable packaging in public catering, public events and takeaway food.
