Project: CCI4Change
Physical Meeting
“How to do creative work in a climate crisis” is a hands-on workshop for artists.

Description

“How to do creative work in a climate crisis” is a hands-on workshop for artists, designers, and other creatives who are struggling to feel their work is meaningful in the face of environmental collapse. It’s aimed primarily at people who work independently or run small creative businesses. We’ll look at the topic from two main angles - how to reduce the impact of our own work on planetary systems, and how our skills can be useful in helping other people to reduce their impact - both individually and on a systemic level. You’ll leave with a clearer understanding of how to address environmental issues in your own practice and in the wider world.
Duncan Geere, a multidisciplinary designer and sonification artist living in Malmö, has carved out a unique niche at the intersection of data, design, sound, and storytelling. His work transforms large and small datasets into immersive auditory experiences, helping people to feel the emotional contours of a dataset, rather than just its mathematical properties.
The event is part of the CCI4Change project activities co-funded by Interreg Baltic Sea Region Programme.
