The Change(K)now! Project Partner Green Events Hamburg organized an online workshop on the organization of green events and the use of SUP vs reusables.

In particular, the experts presented 10 fields of action of a green event:

  • Corporate management & organisational culture
  • Event location
  • Stand operators & concept
  • Climate protection measures
  • Procurement, material & waste management
  • Accommodation
  • Catering
  • Social aspects & inclusion
  • Communication
  • Economic sustainability

Food serving, packaging, waste, environmental and climate carbon foots were highlighted during the interactive session.

The first part, was followed by a 1h focus on challenges (technical, logistical, depos) and case studies about SUP and reusables crockery, cutlery and waste at events.

The event was organized as a free option to deepen the knowledge and share best practices for the Change(K)now! and Baltiplast consortia.
