The Interreg Baltic Sea Region Programme has been shaping the region for the past 25 years. On 28 February 2023, the Managing Authority/Joint Secretariat team and the guests celebrated the 25th anniversary of opening the Rostock office.
The coordinators of the EUSBSR policy area Innovation and the Managing Authority/Joint Secretariat of the Programme briefed together developers of innovation-related projects aiming at the second call for core projects.
What is the best way to increase institutional capacities in the region? How does the Programme reach rural areas? What is the added value of project platforms? What did the shift to online cooperation mean for the projects?
Our Programme is happy to announce that we received as many as 41 project applications for small projects! We are very excited to explore how the many newcomers would push forward innovative, water-smart and climate-neutral projects in the region.
On 17-18 January, the Managing Authority/Joint Secretariat (MA/JS) team welcomed the first core projects to a Lead Partner Seminar in Berlin. Â
Last autumn, the first small projects started their journey within Interreg Baltic Sea Region. In small steps, they are bringing a change to the region and helping progress towards larger, macro-regional objectives of the EU Strategy for the Baltic Sea Region.
