Kiel Munition Clearance Week 2025

Kiel Munition Clearance Week 2025 was committed to fostering dialogue between science, policy, and industry. A key element of this mission was the 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗸𝗲𝗵𝗼𝗹𝗱𝗲𝗿 𝗗𝗶𝗮𝗹𝗼𝗴𝘂𝗲 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸𝘀𝗵𝗼𝗽, shaped by three EU-funded projects: 𝗠𝗨𝗡𝗜-𝗥𝗜𝗦𝗞, 𝗠𝗠𝗶𝗻𝗘-𝗦𝘄𝗘𝗘𝗣𝗘𝗥, and MUNIMAP.

Besides multiple panelists from the ranks of our project partners, the consolidated munitions' projects were responsible for two points on the KMCW25 agenda.

First, a dedicated workshop in world café style brought together stakeholders from across sectors to address the future of underwater safety through a multi-perspective lens – combining comprehensive risk assessments with legal and regulatory frameworks, and placing strong emphasis on environmental and ecological dimensions.

The results of this collaborative dialogue were then shared with the wider audience during the interactive 𝗦𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗰 𝗣𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗦𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻, which via the app Mentometer sparked a dynamic exchange with participants from science, industry, and government alike.
