Description
The MUNIMAP final conference & international symposium will introduce to wider audience our project's main output: the Roadmap for Marine Munitions' Remediation in the Baltic Sea Region. Drawing on the recent political events and ongoing process in Poland, the region and on the EU level, we would like to discuss with you:
- the policy recommendations for each BSR country and the EU
- Web-based tool for munitions remediation and secure marine data exchange
- Best available techniques & Best environmental practices (BATs & BEPs)
- Monitoring Strategy for the Baltic Munitions
We will also give you a sneak peek into the current remediation and monitoring activities of our Baltic Sea partners.
The discussions will not be limited to the Baltic Sea Region, but we will provide stage to our Ukrainian partners from the SAFE BS2BKS project to talk about the disastrous effects of war on the marine ecosystem and possible joint remediation efforts.
As the last, and special point of the programme we invite everyone you to participate in the interactive, transnational and multi-sectoral Table-Top Exercise (TTX) “Dangerous incident with submerged chemical munitions in vicinity of an offshore wind park”
