CCI4Change
CCI4Change
How can we address the behavioural change needed for reducing energy consumption? This shift can be hard to grasp, and this is where art, culture and creative means are essential. The CCI4Change project develops a new collaboration model where the local authorities (municipalities, cities and regions) work in synergy with their Culture and Creative Industry (CCI) practitioners.
The project’s premise is that CCI professionals have the skills and tools to engage with citizens, a key factor in developing new solutions that drive behavioral and attitude changes for a more sustainable society. However, these tools and skills of the CCIs need to be made more accessible to local authorities, enabling them to collaborate effectively with CCIs on goal-oriented initiatives, such as energy reduction.
HOW?
- The CCI4change project develops and tests a new collaboration model between local authorities and creative professionals, aiming to transform citizens' energy consuming behaviours.
- The project offers capacity building for the Culture and Creative Industry (CCI) practitioners to support their abilities to work with the local authorities.
- The project supports the skills and capacities of the local authorities to enable an innovative collaboration and explores the role of an intermediary organization as a bridge builder for the collaboration.
- The project enables up to five practical pilot demonstrations, where the CCI actors work in artistic and creative manners with the citizens of Skåne region, City of Kotka and Jurmala municipality.
- Out of the experience gained in the development of the collaboration model and the practical pilots, the project produces new knowledge in the format of a practical toolset. The toolset is an open resource with the aim to further inspire and support local authorities in the Baltic Sea Region to work in innovative ways with their local CCI´s to tackle the most complex societal challenges.
- Furthermore, the project produces up to five in-depth case studies centered around the topic of energy consumption behavioral change, serving as tangible examples of collaborations with citizen engagement. These studies will highlight the potential of such partnerships, demonstrating how they in practice can contribute to advancing sustainability goals.
