Many people with smart ideas have been investing their work into transnational solutions which improve the life of all citizen around the Baltic Sea region. Some of them will be able to continue their work in an Interreg project to capitalise on the results in place, because today the Monitoring Committee of Interreg Baltic Sea Region has selected 17 projects that submitted an application in the second call for extension stage projects.
To clear waste waters from pharmaceuticals, to modernise low temperature district heating, to empower the gaming industry or to establish eco-friendly autonomous last mile public transportation in the Baltic Sea region – these are large tasks that require years of action. Extension stage projects build up on results that the project partnerships produced over the past three years and thus enhance the projects’ effects. Only those partners in projects approved in May 2017 (in the second call) were eligible to apply for an extension stage project.
