Lakes connect

Interactive Workshop Plan

29 April 2024
We are happy to announce that we have just published: Interactive Workshop Plan: Synergistic Approaches for Environmental Solutions in the Baltic Region.
Technical details

This document outlines a comprehensive training scheme for scientists and local authorities, based on a workshop “Science meets administration: Interreg Lakes connect in search of common goals” held in Poland.

The aim was to promote practical cooperation and effective communication between these two groups.

Key Points:

–  the training scheme is a Deliverable 1.5 of our Interreg Lakes Connect project (D1.5);

–  it will enable staying up-to-date on regional challenges, allowing for quick responses to sudden problems;

– the creation of the training scheme will leverage the latest scientific knowledge and research methods by involving research units and local authorities, helping solve unpredictable and urgent issues;

– participation  from various Baltic countries will expand the synergistic knowledge base, avoid duplication of work, and harmonize standards.

The training program establishes a transnational cooperation model for local authorities, scientific units, and other organizations to work together towards common environmental goals within our Lakes connect project. It aims to reduce the impact of tourism on lake water quality in the Baltic Sea Region.
