Description

Mission-Oriented Innovation Policy & Social Innovation: Insights from OECD and Nordregio

Join us for an insightful webinar exploring how Mission-Oriented Innovation Policies (MOIP) are designed and implemented across different regions—and how they connect with social innovation. Mission-oriented innovation policies have gained traction in academia and policy in recent years as a possible means to set the directionality of collective efforts and accelerate transformative change around some of today’s grand societal challenges.

🔹 Part I: Get an inside look at the OECD’s work on Mission-Oriented Innovation Policies, with a focus on effective strategies for designing impactful missions. Discover the OECD MOIP online toolkit—a dynamic, searchable database featuring 35 real-world mission-driven policies from across the globe.

🔹 Part II: Gain insights into how MOIPs are shaping innovation policy at various territorial levels, with a focus on Nordic Countries. Learn from Nordic case studies and explore key recommendations for regional adoption.

Why attend?
This session is ideal for policymakers and (social) innovation actors looking to design and implement Mission-Oriented Innovation Policies in their specific local or regional context.
