CircularFarmPlastics Open Launch Webinar. Boosting Rural Circular Bioeconomy in the Baltic Sea Region

Project: CircularFarmPlastics
Virtual event

Description

The CircularFarmPlastics project along with two other Interreg Baltic Sea Region projects – Rural Symbiosis and BioGold – are launching with a shared mission: to boost circular bioeconomy in rural areas by turning side streams, residues and difficult waste streams into new value, stronger cooperation and practical business opportunities. By sharing the launch webinar with those closely related project we would like to find synergies and possible ways of cooperation in order to increase the impact and make the change happen in the Baltic Sea Region.

Challenges and opportunities in rural circular bioeconomy transition

In the open launch webinar, we will explore jointly:

  • Can circular transition boost viability and economy in rural region?
  • What makes valorization of biobased side-streams a challenge in the rural context?
  • How to cross the barriers to circularity?

More information on the projects:

BioGold – Biogas by-products for circular opportunities: connecting biogas producers, SMEs and support organisations to turn unused biogas by-products, such as biofertiliser and biogenic CO₂, into valuable rural resources.

Rural Symbiosis – Advancing Circularity in Rural Bioeconomy via Regional Symbiosis: helping rural regions build cooperation frameworks that enable agricultural and forestry side streams to become new inputs, products and business opportunities.

Webinar is organised in collaboration with EUSBSR PA Bioeconomy & the BioBoosters network.
