BSR Food Coalition final event in Latgale

The Latgale Planning Region (LPR) has been implementing the "BSR Food Coalition" project since October 2022 as part of the Interreg Baltic Sea Region Programme 2021-2027". The project aims to increase the proportion of organic food in school catering that comes from local producers, small and medium-sized farmers. One of the instruments of this project is the implementation of "Farm to School" programmes in schools with the aim of bringing about positive changes in the food supply chain.

The aim of the two-year project was to create a framework for the communities of the Klaipėda-, Kurzeme-, Latgale-, Tartu and Võru regions and to demonstrate in pilot projects how these solutions can work in practice with the Farm to School system.

For whom is this event:

* for decision-makers - representatives of municipalities, schools and kindergartens responsible for the procurement of school meals, representatives of relevant ministries and control institutions;
* for practitioners - catering companies that provide school meals;
* for promoters - parents, local action groups, trainers of school cooks and representatives of scientific institutions;

* for organic farmers
