Series of project information events in Panevėžys, Alytus, Ukmergė, Kaišiadorys

A series of practical seminars were organized for representatives of companies, municipalities, non-governmental organizations, and schools across several Lithuanian municipalities:

• Panevėžys: 23.09.2025 10:00 EET

The events aimed to raise awareness about plastic and single-use tableware waste and to share knowledge, experience, and practical solutions for reducing such waste. Participants learned how to move away from single-use packaging and adopt sustainable alternatives through deposit systems.

The seminars presented the pilot project activities and results from the implementation of a deposit system in Anykščiai city cafés and restaurants offering takeaway food. During the events, the BalticCircularHome Challenge was introduced, and participants were invited to join.

Participants were introduced to:

• Proven solutions for reducing single-use plastic waste from the Baltic Sea region countries.
• Good practice examples and ideas ready for immediate application.
• An engaging quiz about plastics.
