Empowering SMEs for a sustainable future: insights and solutions unveiled at the "Stepping Towards Sustainability" event by INFOBALT and partners

The Lithuanian DigiTech Sector Association INFOBALT, together with partners Lithuanian Responsible Business Association – LAVA and Rockit, organised a special networking event for SMEs to learn more about the upcoming sustainability reporting under the new European Sustainability Reporting Standard.

Experts, practitioners and representatives of the Ministry of Economy and Innovation and the Ministry of Finance of the Republic Lithuania shared the new sustainability disclosure requirements.

During the event, IT companies Hostinger and Telesoftas presented their impressive examples of sustainable business, Microsoft representative made a presentation “Technology empowered sustainability reporting and insights”, Law Firm Ellex Valiūnas shared thoughts on the upcoming CSRD. Event was rounded off with a workshop where the companies were introduced to the concept of corporate sustainability and discussed the issues and challenges related to implementation of news disclosure requirements in a country.

The event was organized in the framework of the Interreg project “SusTool”. Infobalt, together with partners from Latvia, Estonia, Finland and Poland, is developing a sustainability reporting tool for SMEs. The aim of the project is to bring clarity to ESG reporting and raise awareness of sustainability issues.
