Participants included upper secondary school teachers, vocational training educators, consultants from private companies, and representatives from non-profit organizations working in innovation and entrepreneurship support.
The training session began with an assessment of participants’ backgrounds and knowledge, allowing the professor to tailor the content accordingly. The course started with general concepts, such as how to define social innovation, impact entrepreneurship, before progressing to more in-depth discussions on key topics like social entrepreneurship ecosystem, values and organisational capacities with practical examples and interactive tools.
Associate Professor Katri-Liis Lepik is the head of Tallinn University’s Master’s program in Social Entrepreneurship and a mentor in a social entrepreneurship incubation program. She also leads several EU-funded projects on social innovation and entrepreneurship and has authored multiple publications on the subject. The course sparked lively discussions, which continued even during the breaks. The second part of the training is scheduled for April, and participants who successfully complete the course will receive a certificate for supplementary education from Tallinn University. During the course participants will conduct a portfolio that they can use when teaching their students or when consulting entrepreneurs on social entrepreneurship.
