Paving the way for strong Social Innovation Clusters: Partner Meeting in Liepaja
24 April 2025
The RESIST Consortium recently held an inspiring in-person meeting in Liepaja, Latvia from 8-10 April 2025.
In an intense peer-to-peer coaching session 13 project partners from across the Baltic Sea Region worked on the further development of so-called Clusters for Social and Ecological Innovation (CSEI). The aim of these Clusters is building and further developing strong and lasting structures to support Social Innovation within the piloting regions.
The partner Kurzeme Planning Region hosted the meeting and created a perfect space for interactive workshop session producing tangible results. During the meeting, the 25 participants had the chance to learn more about the vibrant Social Innovation community in Latvia, for example during the enlightening presentation and discussion from the Latvian Social Entrepreneurship Alliance.
Another highlight of the meeting was the meeting with a local Social Entrepreneur running a Smash room and a youth empowerment program, who gave insights in the day-to-day work, collaboration with local authorities and the group had the chance to further build the project team by testing out the smash room.
The project partners were accompanied by a local film maker from Liepaja, who recorded workshop sessions and short testimonials, which will serve to communicate about the project solutions and learning and will be used to further build a strong community supporting the project’s cause.
The next Consortium Meeting will be held in Vilnius in September/ beginning of October 2025, back-to-back with the second RESIST Transnational Strategy Lab.
