Final Prosper BSR Conference - Riga, September 2024

The final conference of the Prosper BSR project, held in Riga on September 4, 2024, featured an agenda focused on the integration of international employment and support for refugees.
The event began with an introduction by Max Hogeforster of the Hanse-Parlament, followed by an overview of the project by Anna-Maria Czarny, leading into discussions on integration experiences from Poland and international employment in Lithuania, presented by Julia Czarnecka (Polish Chamber of Commerce) and Audronė Masandukaitė (Vilnius Chamber of Commerce, Crafts and Industry).
The afternoon session continued with a presentation by Inese Saldābola (Head of the Integration and Inclusion Agency, Society Integration Foundation Republic of Latvia) on integration efforts in Latvia, and Līga Sičeva (Director of EU project department, Latvian Chamber of Commerce and Industry)addressed the employment of Ukrainian refugees in the country, highlighting both past experiences and future opportunities. Yana Khromiak from International House Vilnius discussed community integration and retention strategies.
This was followed by the introduction of the App developed within the framwork of the project, providing insights into knowledge gathered throughout the project duration (Best Practices, Capacity Building for BSOs, Contact Information to institutions taking part in the integration of interntional employment and support). The App was developed by DANMAR COMPUTERS SP ZOO, a project partner and the presentation as held by Maciej Cegliński.
The conference concluded with asking all participants to sign a Memorandum of Understanding, emphasizing future collaboration in fostering international employment and refugee support.
Our event ended on a note of optimism, with attendees expressing their commitment to furthering integration initiatives across the Baltic Sea Region.
