Technical details

To meet some of the challenges in the biogas market a consortium of partners from Estonia, Finland, Latvia and Sweden has come together and created the Biogas – Established Sustainable Technology in a Circular Economy (BEST ACE) project in order to advance the market.

This project has the prospective to show the potential in biogas for long-haul transport, the maritime sector, and reformation in markets that are not ready yet, says project leader Tommy Lindström, Energy Agency Southern Sweden.

The project will primarily focus on collecting and structuring available data and information about the situation for biogas in the different partner countries of the project. This will then make up both the basis for later study trips as well as the final delivery in form of a roadmap document.

At the kick-off meeting the upcoming work of the international and national reference groups where started. A joint strategy for the recruitment and initial planning for the content of the meetings where discussed. As this will be an important input for the project the work will continue alongside with the rest of the startup work for the project.
