North Denmark EU-Office Hosts Networking Session on Public Procurement and Innovation Collaboration at Together4Health

TOGETHER4HEALTH – gathering stakeholders to shape the future of healthcare

The Danish EU Presidency Conference offered new perspectives for transforming and integrating the healthcare systems and sectors.

The North Denmark Region, together with Aalborg University Hospital, hosted TOGETHER4HEALTH to promote innovation and foster groundbreaking solutions that are helping drive the development of tomorrow’s health and care systems.

The conference gathered stakeholders from across Europe and beyond, representing the entire health sector ecosystem. Policy makers and government representatives, public health and regulatory authorities, universities & research organisations, healthcare professionals and practitioners, private healthcare, industry & investors, patient organisations and civil society came together to shape the future of healthcare – TOGETHER.

North Denmark EU-Office and partner in PPI4Cities and Enterprise Europe Network facilitated a networking session, where the participants had roundtable discussions regarding different topics including topics related to public procurement.

Hereby main topics discussed at the roundtable:

• • From pilot to procurement: what are the biggest challenges for businesses to engage in public-private partnerships?
  • Investment: What are the barriers to attract investment?
  • Go-to-market partnerships: How to scale and accelerate innovation in health sector?
  • What are future relevant competencies/skills for the healthcare sector?
  • What are green and digital competencies/skills in healthcare sector and how can it be addressed by innovative solution providers?
  • How should we transform the sector to address future workforce shortages (e.g., nurses and care staff)?
  • Which tasks and roles in the healthcare sector can be safely automated or reallocated?
  • How can cooperation with the private sector support a successful transformation of healthcare sector?

Participants at TOGETHER4HEALTH shared their knowledge and perspectives through dialogues and discussions, contributing to the further development, transformation, and integration of our healthcare systems cross-sectoral in Europe. Their inputs are now serving as an important part of the conference’s White Paper.
