Tallinn has finalised the Manufactory quarter kindergarten architectural competition

In frame of NonHazCity 3 project Tallinn has initiated in April 2024 the architectuaral competition for building new kindergarden into Manufactory quarter. The competition emphasised that the architectural solution should focus on the development, safety, and creative growth environment of young children.

The new kindergarten building should be of high spatial quality, offering modern learning environments both indoors and outdoors, meeting contemporary environmental standards, aiming for near-zero energy consumption, and minimizing the CO2 footprint during construction.

Now the competition has been finalised and the winner is the architectural firm Creatomus Solutions OÜ with their design “Hiiepuu.” The authors of the design are Renee Puusepp, Patric Liik, Jelyzaveta Peresada, Aline Aparecida Cabral de Carvalho, Marija Katrina Dambe, Florian Betat, Juris Dambis, Kiur Lootus, and Eva-Maria Truusalu.

Next step in the process is to start the procurement for actual design and construction.
