MI-RAP joins the DistanceLab Hub
MI-RAP is now listed in the new Hub Exchange section on the DistanceLab website, alongside tools from other Interreg partner projects.
Over two years, MI-RAP brought together partners from across the Baltic Sea Region to build something we call the MI-RAP Solution: a resource hub structured around three areas: Skills & Labour, Innovation & Networks, and Sustainability. Each area is offering practical tools and guides for public authorities, business support agencies, and sectoral organisations working with music ecosystems. What made the process interesting wasn’t just producing content, but the discussions behind it: comparing regions at very different stages of music-sector development, and figuring out which tools actually make sense at which stage of maturity.
Once a project like this ends, that kind of tested, partner-validated work can easily disappear into a final report nobody reopens. That’s part of why we’ve made it findable in more than one place: through our partnership with the Music Cities Network, and now also via the DistanceLab Hub, so it reaches people through whichever channel they already use.
Pia Blomström from the Regional Council of Ostrobothnia, one of our partners, on what that means for her region:
“For a region like Ostrobothnia, having direct access to tools tested by cities across the Baltic Sea means we don’t have to start from zero. We can take what’s already been tried elsewhere and shape it to fit our own music sector.”
