Liveability Talks: Mārtiņš Staķis joins us next
16 April 2025
We are pleased to announce that Mārtiņš Staķis, Member of the European Parliament (Greens/EFA) and former Mayor of Riga, will be our next guest speaker in the Liveability Talks series.
During his time as Mayor of Latvia’s capital, Mārtiņš led a number of bold and impactful initiatives that transformed the way the city operates. His leadership focused on creating a more sustainable, people-centred and forward-thinking urban environment.
In this talk, he will reflect on what it really means to be the mayor of a capital city. He will speak about the opportunities and challenges of applying a top-down approach, and share what he has learnt from working within city systems to drive change.
If you are involved in city administration, public service design or urban development, or simply interested in how leadership can shape more liveable cities, we think you will find this conversation inspiring and insightful.
