Co-elaboration of a transnational certification standard and of a tool-box to promote energy transition in green industrial areas
GreenIndustrialAreas

For Swedish stakeholders: Practical tools for greener industrial areas

30 January 2026
As the GreenIndustrialAreas project comes to a close, the Swedish partners share a compact overview of key results developed within the project.
Technical details

Sustainable Business Hub Scandinavia prepared a material for Swedish stakeholders (in Swedish language) that highlights two major outputs: the transnational standard for green industrial areas, which provides guidance on how to identify and promote sustainable industrial zones, and the toolbox for climate-neutral industries, showcasing innovative technologies and best practices to improve resource efficiency and strengthen cooperation between companies.

In addition, the publication points to project articles and case-based insights, including lessons learned on certification approaches and industrial symbiosis from the final conference in Schwerin. The material is intended to support local authorities, business support organisations and companies in accelerating the transition towards more sustainable and energy-efficient industrial areas.
