Malow’s involvement in the GreenIndustrialAreas project has brought the company a wide range of tangible benefits and valuable insights in the areas of sustainable development and energy efficiency. Through its participation, Malow gained access to leading European practices related to environmentally responsible management of industrial zones.
Currently, Malow is in the final phase of launching a new photovoltaic farm, with the generated energy intended for sale to companies operating in the Suwałki Special Economic Zone. This initiative aligns closely with the goals of the Energy Cluster, which was established in December 2024 and of which Malow is now a member. The cluster is a cooperative platform that brings together businesses, local government units, and private individuals to promote the local production, distribution, and consumption of energy.
The cluster’s activities are centered on the sustainable use of renewable energy sources (RES)—such as solar, wind, biomass, and hydropower. Its primary mission is to ensure energy independence for its members by fostering local, sustainable energy generation and management. Operating within a defined geographic area, the cluster allows for effective coordination and optimal use of available energy resources.
As Grzegorz Pruszyński, Chief Engineer for Energy and Automation at Malow, noted, participation in the GreenIndustrialAreas project highlighted the significant bureaucratic challenges Polish companies face when implementing renewable energy initiatives. In his view, regulatory frameworks in other countries are often more straightforward and results-oriented, offering a more supportive environment for green transformation.
Through active engagement in international projects and cluster structures, Malow is strengthening its position as a leader in responsible industry and a company committed to green transformation.
