Another eRural resilience project partner meeting was held 6-9 May Denmark, Rømø. Partners were welcomed by the Business Development Council of Toender Municipality (Tønder Erhvervsråd) and ProVarde Business Development.

The goal of the meeting was to discuss the pre-testing process and the feedback of the methodology for supporting e-bio-business launching / Solution 2. And from there on develop the online tool to implement the Solution 2 among companies in Baltic Sea region the most effective way.

The methodology incorporates specialized tools tailored to each stage of the transition to the e-bio format, helping companies develop essential biotech and digital competencies. It includes a structured guide that provides BSOs and consultants with a clear framework and step-by-step instructions for applying these tools effectively, supporting companies in achieving a successful e-bio business launch.

Tartu County Development Association together with their local IT-expert led a lively workshop to discuss the technical requirements for the digital version of Solution 2. Partners agreed that the online tool needs to be simple and straightforward so that both SME-s and BSO-s could benefit from this.

We also discussed the system of the visits to SMEs and discussed on how to collaborate with final beneficiaries- the companies who are ready to launch and how exactly to use the hubs in their favour.

Tønder Erhvervsråd and ProVarde Business Development presented their testing results of local Danish companies and gave a practical overview of the results and feedback of what needs to be modified during the testing process.

The lead partner of the project- Association of Municipalities of Tartu County gave an overview of the status of the project technical aspects. Additionally, we analysed the status of video training database and the anchoring and exchanging good practices regarding the project solutions in Baltic Sea area.

We had also an amazing change experience to the unique protected National Park and UNESCO World Heritage Site – a tour to the Wadden Sea. At the end of the meeting session, partners were introduced Food and Bio Cluster of Denmark and also Danish e-bio companies (Ferm Food and Food Remade), where Maria Almind gave an overview of the variety of their products and Henrik Ottesen gave good practices on innovation upcycling solutions on how to turn waste into value.
