Baltic Energy Initiatives Join Forces in Riga

The Ministry of Smart Administration and Regional Development in Riga hosted the GreenIndustrial Areas Transnational Project Meeting, a significant two-day partners’ meeting on April 1-2, 2025, bringing together key stakeholders in regional energy development. The EasyEnergy project, represented by the Riga Planning Region, played a central role in the discussions focused on establishing stronger synergies among Baltic Sea Region energy initiatives.

The first day of meetings, held at the Ministry’s headquarters on Peldu iela, featured presentations on ongoing GreenIndustrialAreas work package results and included a guest presentation from Ronalds Saksons of the Riga Planning Region, representing EasyEnergy.

Day two featured a site visit to the Kaigu pilot site near Jelgava, where participants got firsthand experience of implemented energy solutions.

The gathering provided an excellent platform for strengthening partnerships and identifying synergies between various energy initiatives in the Baltic region.
