The DIVERSE_GENE_WATCH project is pleased to invite stakeholders to the transnational online event “Forest Genetic Monitoring in the Baltic Sea Region: Guidelines, Management Scenarios, and Pilot Insights”, taking place on 11 September 2026, from 09:00 to 10:20 CET. The event will bring together experts and interested stakeholders to share the project’s progress in developing practical approaches for Forest Genetic Monitoring across the Baltic Sea Region.

This event marks an important moment for DIVERSE_GENE_WATCH. After field-based piloting activities in participating countries, the project is will present emerging insights from its work on establishing Forest Genetic Monitoring in practice. The event will highlight key project outputs, including forest management scenarios, Forest Genetic Monitoring guidelines for the Baltic Sea Region, and pilot experiences from the field.

Participants will have the opportunity to learn how project partners are testing methods, collecting field-based knowledge, and translating results into guidance that can support future monitoring and forest management. The event is open to stakeholders working in forest genetic resources, forest monitoring, biodiversity conservation, sustainable forest management, research, policy and related fields.
