Bluegreen nature-based solutions for climate change adaptation and citizen wellbeing
City Blues

First transnational workshop in sunny Tartu

13 June 2024
Sharing knowledge and experiences between cities is the key to tackle negative effects of climate change. The first transnational workshop by City Blues project gathered city representatives and local authorities in Tartu and online to hear about the operational models in pilot cities and good examples on how to develop nature-based solutions in cold climate.
Technical details

The research partners TalTech and KWB provided information on the importance of catchment scale solutions and performance assessment of NBS.

The event was a success with almost hundred attendees in person and online. After the seminar session we got to visit the Tartu pilot site and learned about the up-coming plans.

Next, the pilot cities will take forward their plans and implementations. At the same time, we are preparing our Joint Operational Model, the first version of which should be published by spring 2025 the latest.

Our next transnational workshop will take place in Malmö, Sweden, at the end of September. Stay tuned for more information.

All presentations were recorded, and the slides are also available.
