New Change(K)now! Training Program: Helping Cities Move from Single-Use to Reusable Food Packaging
25 June 2026
“Transition to Circular Food Delivery Systems (FDS): Institutional Catering, Takeaway, and Events” is the new Change(K)now! training developed for municipalities, entrepreneurs, and decision-makers working on institutional catering, takeaway services, and event-based food delivery. It’s organised into three modules that build on each other and are mainly developed for the trainers working with stakeholders to support their transition to reusables.
The first module, Necessary Changes for Transition to Circular FDS, walks through what actually needs to change to swap single-use packaging for reusable solutions, whether that’s in catering, at events, or for takeaway. It also dives into circular and green procurement, plus how to communicate the change so people actually get on board.
The second module, Innovative Solutions of FDS, shares the measures and system changes tested throughout the project, with real case studies, hands-on assignments, and discussion questions to keep trainers and learners engaged.
The third module, the Sprint Manual: Piloting Reuse Systems for Food Delivery Systems, is a hands-on toolbox based on the SPRINT methodology, perfect for anyone ready to plan and roll out reusable container systems on the ground.
And trainers aren’t left to figure it out alone: a Roadbook for Trainers comes alongside the modules, explaining how the program is structured, what’s in each part, and how to adapt the materials to different audiences. Since the content is designed to be generic, trainers are encouraged to tweak it to fit their own local context, mixing and matching the pieces as needed.
Everything is hosted on Thinkific, an easy-to-use e-learning platform, accessible via the “Change(K)now! Training Program” link below.
