Since 1986, the TZL has been promoting innovation, knowledge transfer, and entrepreneurship by creating a collaborative environment for startups and established tech companies in Schleswig-Holstein.

Key Activities:
✨ Innovation & Technology Transfer Services
As Northern Germany’s largest science and tech park, the TZL offers over 50,000 square meters of professional business premises and modern office spaces, acting as a central hub to connect industry and academia, to initiate technology transfer projects, incubate new business ideas and foster an innovative ecosystem.

✨ StartUp Support & Accelerator
The TZL helps startups thrive with its GATEWAY49 accelerator programme, selecting 15 startups annually for a nine-month program that offers extensive coaching, tailored mentoring, a strong network, up to €30,000 in funding (equity-free) and flexible coworking spaces.

✨ International Collaboration
The TZL participates in several cross-border cooperation projects in the Fehmarnbelt and the Baltic Sea region. Partnering with economic organizations and universities from other Northern countries, the TZL helps SMEs and startups access new markets, know-how and technologies to strengthen innovation in the baltic region.

✨ Prototyping & Open Innovation
We offer prototyping support and promote open innovation in our 3D printing or AI programming workshops, providing extensive training and access to high-tech tools for schools, businesses, startups, SMEs, and students.
