Beyond the Forum: Partner-Focused Insights from the BSR DeepTech Launch Dissemination Event
03 June 2025
The Dissemination Event of the BSR DeepTech Launch project held in Warsaw consisted of two complementary parts:
-
The official dissemination phase, open to both project partners and external participants, took place on May 22nd and was built around the BEI Forum. This part of the event focused on sharing project results, showcasing good practices in deep-tech support, and facilitating high-level discussions between ecosystem actors. More information and highlights from this public event can be found here.
-
The internal partner-focused phase, spanning from the afternoon of May 22nd into May 23rd, was designed exclusively for project partners. It provided an opportunity for deeper peer exchange, inspiration from the Warsaw innovation ecosystem, and strengthening strategic connections within and beyond the project partnership. Following the BEI Forum and before the evening reception, project partners also convened for the 6th ISC meeting to reflect on progress and coordinate the next steps.
May 22nd – Evening Reception at the German Embassy
The evening part of the partner-exclusive phase began with a prestigious evening reception at the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany in Warsaw. Held in recognition of the project’s international dimension and deep-tech focus, the event was dedicated to celebrating cross-border cooperation in innovation. The gathering was held in the spirit of cooperation between German and Polish stakeholders and entrepreneurs in the field of innovative technologies. Partners had the honour of meeting representatives from the Embassy, industry clusters, and R&D organisations.
One of the speakers was the representative of OpTecBB – the Project Partner from Germany, who delivered a keynote highlighting Germany’s approach to fostering photonics innovation and the importance of transnational collaboration frameworks such as BSR DeepTech Launch.
The evening offered a distinguished setting to reinforce diplomatic and institutional ties between the participating countries, fostering international dialogue on deep-tech entrepreneurship and innovation. It served as a platform to build bridges for future collaboration in the sector, while also strengthening the shared commitment to developing the next generation of tech-driven startups across the Baltic Sea Region. The closing dinner provided a fitting conclusion to a day of meaningful exchanges, deepening connections among the institutions and nations shaping the region’s innovation ecosystem.
May 23rd, 2025 – Day 2 of the Dissemination Event -Photonics Job Fair and Innovation Incubator Visit
The second day of the BSR DeepTech Launch Dissemination Event was dedicated to connecting with the broader innovation community in Warsaw. Project partners took part in the 4th International Photonics Job Fair at the Warsaw University of Technology, an event that brought together students, researchers, and cutting-edge companies operating in one of the region’s most promising high-tech sectors. The fair offered a valuable platform for networking, recruitment, and demonstrating how innovation support mechanisms can help match young talent with real industry needs.
Later in the day, the consortium visited the Innovation Incubator at the Centre for Innovation of Warsaw University of Technology (Inkubator Innowacyjności w Centrum Innowacji PW). There, partners explored how the incubator supports early-stage startups through mentorship, access to university research resources, and tailored business development services. The visit also included an exchange on how university-based incubators can serve as launchpads for deep-tech ventures, helping researchers turn breakthrough ideas into viable commercial solutions.
Together, these activities not only deepened the partners’ understanding of Warsaw’s vibrant innovation landscape but also strengthened the collaborative spirit at the heart of the BSR DeepTech Launch project — a spirit grounded in shared goals, mutual learning, and a vision for a stronger, innovation-driven Baltic Sea Region.
