Blue Supply Chains presented during the Transportforum Sweden Event

The Transportforum is the Nordic region's largest annual conference for the transport sector. A presentation about "the road to green fuels for shipping and ports" was given by Blue Supply Chains partner IVL on the main stage.

Technical details

Karl Jivén (IVL Swedish Environmental Research Institiute) represented the Blue Supply Chains project during the Transportforum, annually organised in Linköping, Sweden. The Transportforum is the Nordic region’s largest annual conference for the transport sector. Over 1,100 professionals from the transport sector gathered over two days at Linköping Concert and Congress to exchange ideas, gain insights, and take part in over 300 abstract presentations covering a wide range of topics shaping the future of transportation.

Karls presentation anchored the importance of research within the maritime sector in relation to transformation of the industry within especially national policy makers such as authorities and other researchers. The Swedish pilot case “Towards a Green Bunkering Strategy” for the Umeå region illustrated a developed strategy and road-map which has the potential to be replicated by other regions.
