Blue Supply Chains at the EUSBSR Annual Forum 2025 – Three Inspiring Days in Sopot

From 28–30 October 2025, Blue Supply Chains participated in the EUSBSR Annual Forum 2025 at Sopot, Poland, joining policymakers, project partners, and regional innovators. The project showcased its work on green fuels and sustainable maritime logistics, contributing to discussions on resilient and greener shipping across the Baltic Sea region.

The Blue Supply Chains team was proud to participate in the EUSBSR Annual Forum 2025, contributing to discussions on greener, smarter, and more resilient maritime transport.

28 October – BSSSC Day of Cities & Regions

Organised by the Baltic Sea States Subregional Co-operation (BSSSC), this day highlighted the role of local and regional authorities in driving sustainable development across the Baltic Sea region. Participants exchanged experiences and best practices for inclusive growth, cross-border cooperation, and innovative port and urban logistics. Blue Supply Chains observed and engaged with stakeholders to explore how regional governance can support sustainable maritime supply chains.

29 October – Official Opening of the EUSBSR Annual Forum 2025

The main Forum programme opened under the theme “Securing the Future: Stronger Together – Building Stability in Times of Uncertainty.” Plenary sessions and networking discussions focused on aligning project initiatives, policy areas, and port authorities to accelerate green shipping and sustainable regional development.

30 October – Blue Supply Chains Workshop at EUSBSR Annual Forum: “Are Our Green Fuels Ready for Green Shipping Corridors?”

This fully booked workshop showcased Blue Supply Chains’ expertise, with Stefan Breitenbach, Head of Project Department at Port of Hamburg Marketing (HHM), representing the project. The session explored how ports and shipping companies can prepare for emerging green fuels, addressing technical readiness, operational challenges, and safety considerations.

The workshop was highly interactive: participants engaged via a Slido poll, submitting questions in real time. Stefan provided straightforward, unprepared answers, offering practical insights into fuel readiness and port preparedness, making the session highly dynamic and insightful.

Vivin represented H2DERI@BSP, sharing experiences on hydrogen fuel implementation and renewable energy integration into port operations.

Ignė Stalmokaitė – Baltic Sea Green Shipping Corridors

Igne contributed insights on environmental research and practical steps toward greener maritime transport in the region.

Rafał Kobe – Incone60 Green

Rafał addressed innovative port technologies and sustainable practices supporting green shipping corridors.

The workshop highlighted progress and remaining challenges in green fuel adoption, port readiness, and cross-sector collaboration.
