BEACH-SOS Project to be Presented at Blue Economy Forum for the Baltic Sea in Sopot

We’re pleased to announce that the BEACH-SOS project will be showcased at the upcoming Blue Economy for the Baltic Sea: Sustainable Blue Economy Partnership Regional Workshop in Sopot, Poland!

This significant event, taking place on April 29th, 2025, from 9:00 to 16:30, is co-organised by BlueMissionBANOS and the Sustainable Blue Economy Partnership in conjunction with the Blue Economy Baltic Forum and the Polish EU Council Presidency. It’s the fourth in the Mission Arena series, focusing on the blue economy challenges and opportunities in the region, including Poland, Eastern Germany, Denmark, and South-Eastern Sweden.

As part of this important workshop, our project, BEACH-SOS, will be presented by David Cabana from Helmholtz-Zentrum Hereon GmbH, Germany.

BEACH-SOS – how to adapt to the changing climate to ensure thriving and sustainable beach recreation and tourism in the future (Interreg Baltic Sea Region Project)

This is a valuable opportunity to understand how the BEACH-SOS project is contributing to the broader goals of a sustainable blue economy in the Baltic Sea region. Our presentation will address the critical need for climate adaptation strategies to safeguard the future of beach recreation and tourism.

The workshop itself will cover pressing blue economy issues such as shipping and ports, maritime security, and sustainable food production, culminating in the co-creation of a roadmap towards achieving the EU Mission Oceans & Waters goals.
