Technical details

It has been a year of a joint adventure to unify the sub -destinations, boating organizations, academia and intergovernmental bodies (CBSS) in the process of joint destination development in the Baltic Sea Region!

After a busy autumn when the project partners participated in various events to discuss the purpose, scope and plans of the #BSB2030 initiative, the time came to sit around the table, collect the experiences and think about the next steps.

On 7th December 2023, the Partners of the Project met in Gdańsk, the location of the Project’s Lead Partner- the Association of Sea Cities and Municipalities but also- one of many highlights of the Baltic boating destination, where you can stay with your boat directly in the Old Town, with a magnificent view to a famous Gdansk’s Crane.

The aim of the meeting was to evaluate the activities undertaken within the first year of the Project, discuss the progress within each group of activity, and make decisions for the project’s implementation in 2024. The meeting was also focused on marketing activities and brand development, including the brainstorming on the leaflet developed to promote the Baltic Sea Region as a single destination to the boaters, and on the market in general. Moreover, the first results of the baseline study were revealed and consulted within the project’s consortium. Finally, the presence of the BSB2030 at the International Boat Fairs, BOOT 2024 in Dusseldorf was confirmed. During the event, some of the Partners’ will be present at a BSB2030 Booth and at various accompanying events- more info about that will follow.
