Technical details

On 30 JuneĀ 2025 the German team at State and University Library in Hamburg organized a small workshop and get together to celebrate the finalization of the pilot activities in Hamburg. The aim was, to reflect on the collaboration with the local Associated Organization as well as the internal library departments and set course for future joint activities.

The event started out with an anchoring change workshop, organized largely based on the concept described in the evaluation phase of the project’s toolbox. After a short round of introduction, the project team briefly presented a review of the activities from the application process towards the current finalization stage of the project. All participants were invited to share their reflections, focusing especially on where their expectations had been missed, met or even surpassed. During the second phase, the ten participants were divided into two groups and from their individual point of view discussed aspects of their collaboration and the output that should be kept, should be stopped or should be started. The results were documented and briefly presented in a later step. To wrap things up, the group jointly came to an agreement on aspects that need clarification in the near future and divided up tasks that were already agreed upon.

After this exclusive workshop for collaborators, the event was opened up for other stakeholders relevant to the project or the library in general. Next to members of the Senate Office in charge of international matters for the city of Hamburg, representatives from Hamburg University, the public libraries as well as target groups and staff involved during the participatory process were also present. This was a great opportunity to showcase the refurbished space, hand out the printed version of the toolbox and reinforce local networks.
