Green Networking Meeting

20 June 2025
Technical details

Göteborg & Co organized a transnational, hybrid “Green Network Meeting” to connect industry professionals across various sectors. Approximately 50 participants took part – including public and private event organizers, business support organizations, waste management entities, and city authority representatives – to share knowledge and foster an open exchange on implementing disposable-free events. Representatives from multiple cities and countries in the Baltic Sea Region participated, including Sweden, Oslo, Finland, Estonia and Poland.

Hosted on 9th May by Göteborg & Co, this networking event featured presentations highlighting key insights from impactful initiatives like MI-RAP’s ‘Disposable-free for the Climate’ pilot at the Gothenburg Culture Festival, findings from the Intereg BSR project BALTIPLAST and tests at the Västerås Cityfestival, and lessons learned from Got Event, the public arena company in Gothenburg. Discussions also centered on regulatory changes affecting events and other challenges faced by stakeholders. The agenda included interactive workshop sessions and group discussions aimed at contributing to the MI-RAP “Green and Sustainable Events Playbook”. An informal networking lunch provided opportunities for participants to connect and exchange ideas.
