Kopums / MAD Liepāja Youth Festival

The event Kopmus / MAD Liepāja is a two-day youth opportunities festival. It brings together young people, youth workers, and organizations to break stereotypes, discuss socially relevant topics, and showcase creativity, culture, sports, and civic engagement.
System tested:
- Shared reusable cup and deposit system (visitors paid a deposit for reusable cups, refundable in cash or by card at a central return station).
When:
- 16–17 August 2025
Aim:
- To reduce the use of disposable beverage cups
- Test the feasibility of a reusable system at public events and assess its practical, technical, and behavioural aspects – towards the upcoming 2026 city regulation that will require reusable cups at all public events.
