TEN-T Urban Nodes in the Baltic Sea Region – From Regulation to Implementation

How do the new TEN-T requirements for urban nodes translate into real change on the ground? What does this mean for cities and regions in practice? This interactive peer-learning session brings together urban nodes from across the Baltic Sea region to move beyond the regulation itself and focus on implementation in real-world contexts.

Participants will gain a clear understanding of the European Commission’s expectations regarding urban nodes, and how these translate into concrete planning, governance and investment requirements. They will also explore how other cities are approaching key challenges such as governance, financing and monitoring questions. At the core of the session is a reality check: Where do cities currently stand? What difficulties do they encounter in practice, and which support do they need in the future?

The session offers a combination of expert inputs, concrete city cases and interactive discussions to enable participants to:

• get new input for their own mobility planning
• exchange directly with cities facing similar challenges and
• to identify practical approaches and solutions
