Description
Are you looking to…
- Gain valuable insights from real success stories? Discover innovative #circularfood initiatives and best practices developed in Finland, Poland, and Lithuania through the FoodLoops project.
- Engage in dynamic discussions to shape local cooperation projects for circular #biowaste management in schools across the BSR region?
- Be part of the movement to reduce food waste and maximize resource efficiency, while connecting with like-minded stakeholders?
Join us at our upcoming workshop, where you can explore practical strategies for creating a more sustainable future.
The FoodLoops project focuses on tackling one of the biggest challenges in the Baltic Sea Region (BSR): food waste. In Lithuania alone, about 50 kg of food waste is generated per capita each year, which also represents a significant economic opportunity for creating valuable products from bio-waste.
FoodLoops addresses this problem in Poland, Finland, and Lithuania with its outcomes such as:
- Pilot initiatives
- A Manual on Cooperation for Circular Bio-Waste
- Replication of experiences from Finland, Poland and Lithuania to other countries and
- Cross-border networking and exchange of results
We invite organisations (municipalities, farmer associations, caterers and academic institutes) from across the BSR (and beyond) to join our Replication Workshop on 21 March 2025. During the workshop, you will learn the step-by-step process of building cooperation for circular bio-waste, as implemented in the FoodLoops project. You will take part in interactive sessions to discuss challenges, exchange solutions for circular food systems, and create small projects defining cooperation activities and action plans for implementation.
We warmly invite you to be part of this event. Please register by 10 March using the link below[1]. We look forward to welcoming you to our workshop!
