Description

Could Wood Materials Create More Value and New Competitive Advantages for Your Business?

Welcome to a morning coffee event for SMEs in the wood industry on Wednesday, 28 October 2026, from 8:30 to 10:00 a.m. at Innopark, Vankanlähde 7, Hämeenlinna (meeting room Tilia).

During the morning, we will take a practical look at how the circular economy can open up new business opportunities for the wood products industry:

  • How to create more value from wood materials and side streams
  • What are the biggest bottlenecks and opportunities in the circular economy
  • How resource efficiency and new operating models can be turned into a competitive advantage

The session will be led by Ville Availa, CEO of Double Round Oy and advisor in sustainable business development. The event also offers an opportunity to exchange ideas and network with other professionals in the wood industry over morning coffee.

We will also present a current testing opportunity for SMEs in the wood products industry (free of charge). Through the CIRC-2-ZERO project’s digital twin solution, companies can virtually test and evaluate production processes, material flows, and new solutions without interrupting production operations.

The pilot activities will begin in November 2026, and there is still room for a few more companies to participate. Apply here for the Digital Twin Pilot.

Join us to gain new perspectives, practical ideas, and valuable contacts to support the development of your business.
