CIRC-2-ZERO Online Workshop (Internal): Development of open call for SMEs on 20 October 2025, 13:00 – 15:00 and open call was finalized in subsequent BSO meetings
The CIRC-2-ZERO Project held an internal online workshop within the Business Support Organization (BSO) group on 20 October 2025 to develop an open calls for SMEs to participate in project activities like digital twin demo platform (DTDP) piloting process. The 2-hour workshop was not sufficient to finalize the open call materials, but it was a good start, so the group mutually agreed to continue the work during subsequent BSO meetings.
The workshop was facilitated by Luleå University of Technology (LTU) and all BSO project partners were involved in the process. The objective was to develop an open call for SMEs and use an online application form to ensure transparency and openness of the project, as well as equal opportunity for all eligible companies to participate in DTDP piloting. Open call enables SMEs to register and apply for the project’s activities. From each project partner countries 7 SMEs (all together 42) are chosen to the activities.
The group was divided into two teams: one focusing on the Engineered Wood Product (EWP) sector, and the other on Electronics sector. The aim was to utilize the same open call structure for both sectors. LTU created a Miro board that enabled both groups to draft the content using a pre-defined structure. The teams conducted brainstorming sessions and used a MIRO board to support the work. The final versions of the open calls were edited in a shared Word document. The completed versions were first approved by the BSO group and then presented to the project consortium. The final open calls were published in each organization’s webpages in local language in week 49/2025 and disseminated by each project partner organization. At the same time as the open calls for SMEs, an online application form was published. It was developed by ICUNorr and Linna Business Development (LBD) and translated into local languages. The same online application form is used in EWP and electronic sectors.
This internal work was part of the project’s activities where the objective is to engage and prepare SMEs for the project piloting activities and future resilience transformation hub (RTH).
