The promotion of circular economy in construction.

Description

The promotion of circular economy in construction is increasing the focus on the potential health and environmental hazards of building materials. Restricting harmful substances in construction materials is also a health issue. In Helsinki, harmful substances are already restricted in early childhood education procurements, and the city is currently updating its construction guidelines related to harmful substances.

We invite construction clients and companies to join us for a proactive market dialogue on April 8, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM in Helsinki. This event provides an opportunity to influence and discuss how harmful substances can be better considered in future procurement processes and construction projects.

The event is organized by the City of Helsinki, Turku University of Applied Sciences, and the NonHazCity 3 project.
