Description

The Annual Forum is the yearly gathering for collaboration in the Baltic Sea Region within the framework of the EU Strategy for the Baltic Sea Region. It takes place over two days on 30 and 31 October, with an engagement day on 29 October in form of a site event. With the overall themes of Sustainability, Resilience, and Security, the Forum aims to deepen our understanding and enhance collaborative efforts in these areas.

450 attendees registered already and spots are filling up quickly. Don’t delay your registration, as only 600 spots are available: Registration Link to EUSBSR Annual Forum

The lead partner representative from Blue Supply Chains project will be speaker during the Plenary 2 session "Sustainable and resilient transport systems in the Baltic Sea Region". Transport corridors serve as lifelines, bolstering economic growth and societal connectivity by facilitating trade and mobility across borders, regions, rural and urban areas. The TEN-T network and Connecting Europe Facility (CEF) play an important role in this regard. This policy dialogue will explore the challenges and opportunities for developing sustainable transport solutions in the Baltic Sea Region and how to foster cooperation and innovation among the relevant stakeholders. Furthermore, it will address the effect of the current geopolitical unrest, fuelled largely by Russia's aggression against Ukraine, and its impact on transport, logistics, environment, military mobility and security of supply in the Region

  • Engagement Day | 29 October
The Engagement Day is an opportunity for stakeholders to engage with the EU Strategy for the Baltic Sea Region. The EUSBSR Annual Forum 2024 will begin with an optional side event, focusing on widening participation, increasing engagement and attracting new stakeholders to drive the Strategy forward. For those new to the EU Strategy for the Baltic Sea Region (EUSBSR), understanding how to benefit from it can be challenging. What can the Strategy offer your organisation or institution? Even after recognising its benefits, navigating the Strategy can still be difficult. With numerous contacts available, where do you start? Additionally, since the Strategy doesn’t provide direct financing, how can you fund cooperation with other countries?
Target groups: Local authorities, civil society, youth organisations, the business sector and Ukrainian stakeholders
  • EUSBSR Annual Forum Programme | 30-31 October
Four Plenary Sessions are planned for the Annual Forum 2024. Three of them are thematic (bioeconomy, transport, and energy, respectively), whereas the last one is a part of the closing session, summarising the discussions at the Forum and pointing forward.
    Parallel Sessions
are concurrent workshops, seminars and panel discussions.
