Description
The conference will explore chemicals management from both an upstream and downstream perspective, looking at how hazardous substances can be prevented at source and how downstream knowledge can support better decisions earlier in the value chain.
Interactive working sessions will allow participants to exchange practical experience and discuss challenges, solutions and policy needs across projects and sectors.
The second day will focus particularly on prevention through existing policy instruments, including procurement, environmental management systems, ecolabels and product requirements. The conference will conclude with a policy discussion on recommendations for European and national decision-makers.
