Description
The BATS consortium is please to share that the project will be showcased during the upcoming Velo-city conference in Gdansk, Poland.
Velo-city is the yearly flagship event of the European Cyclists' Federation and it is co-organised with a different city every year. Being part of Velo-city is more than going to a conference with an exhibition - it is about joining a community of passionate people who are there to take action and make a difference.

Safe and complete networks of infrastructure are the base – but which other factors influence the success of policies and planning for more cycling? In this session, speakers will discuss new research on the role of governance, data and storytelling, and interventions focusing on behaviour change. From a BATS perspective, Miloš Mladenović from project partner Aalto University will participate in this session, sharing his presentation titled "Development of diagnostics-interventions toolkit for promoting year-round active mobilities: A Nordic-Baltic perspective."
Infrastructure and modelling

This poster session explores innovative approaches to cycling infrastructure and modeling, focusing on active travel assessment, traffic modeling, gender-based cycling trends, year-round mobility interventions, and the integration of blue-green infrastructure. Contributions also highlight GIS analyses, cycling potential, and practical frameworks for enhancing sustainable and accessible cycling environments. BATS will be showcased during this session by Jacek Oskarbski from project partner Gdansk University of Technology, sharing his poster titled "Multi-Phased Monitoring Framework for Evaluating Year-Round Active Mobility Interventions."
Representatives from the BATS project will also be present throughout the entire conference at the exhibition area, sharing a booth with the City of Gdansk, ECF and EUBSBSR Policy Area.
